The valley of Har-ki-Dun is located at the base of Fateh Parvat, at an altitude of 12000ft. The valley offers beautiful views of mountains such as Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black peak. Golden eagles are found in this region. The accessibility through Govind National Park makes it rich in flora. Given its beauty and moderate difficulty level, this is an ideal trek for experienced as well as Beginner trekkers. Ruinsara Tal (3500M), a clear water lake is at the foot of Mt. Kalanag and is about 14Kms from Osla/Seema. Ruinsara Tal is another attractive place for trekkers in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The lake is surrounded by Alpine Pastures and low Rhododendrons and is considered as sacred by the inhabitants of the Har-Ki-Doon Valley. The lake is near the source of Supin river. From here one gets closer views of Mt. Kalanag, Ruinsara range, BandarPoonch, and Swargarohini peaks which are superb. Located just below the Bandarpoonch Glacier the lake is an ideal camping site.
